Eliminating Poverty via Working Online

I wasted valuable minutes pondering whether to call this page “Charity”, “Not for Profit”, “Paying it Forward” or other things which would have used more valuable character real estate in my menu bar. So settled on this one, “Social”.

I’m a late bloomer, didn’t have a proper girlfriend until 17 and didn’t become seriously conscious of my social responsibilities until now at 29yo.

I’ve worked with a few NPO’s and NGO’s in my early twenties, but after struggling myself financially and with 3 kids, along with one bad experience with a less than scrupulous organization, I kind of got caught up in the rat race of just trying to survive without thinking of others outside my own family.

Partly because of maturing through my own struggles, experiencing different extremes of rich and poor throughout Asia, educating myself with some insightful books and and also from being inspired by socially conscious people, I’m now feeling responsible to contribute to the greater social good by contributing the unique skills and experiences gleamed.

While still formulating on a organizational structure or considering whether it is even needed, I will be outlining my plans to contribute to poverty alleviation via helping people to learn and earn online.
